What is the difference between appliqué and printed flags?
Appliqué is a sewing construction method that Flag Fables has used since 1984 to create our own quality polyester/cotton flags. Using our own original designs, each section—from stripes, to lettering, to the beak of a bird—is hand cut and then carefully stitched to the fabric background. The appliqué flags are then skillfully hand trimmed to make the design visible from both sides. Our printed flags are made by top-quality manufacturers that use cutting-edge technology and incorporate fabrics and dyes that resist mildew, fading, and are machine washable. Top artisans’ and photographers’ work is faithfully reproduced, capturing fine detail and subtle colors to complement your home.
