What is the difference between applied psychology and just psychology?

An applied psychology degree has a greater focus on looking at psychology ‘in action’ so to speak in that I would assume it spends more time looking at how psychology is used in society, e.g. in educational and clinical settings. Whilst most undergraduate psychology degrees include some aspect of applied psychology usually it is more theory and experimental knowledge that is taught. I would guess that an applied degree looks at theory too but then focuses more on assessing the use of theory in practise and so yes, I think this degree would be fine if you hoped to go into educational psychology. Also, just so you know the applied psychology degree you mentioned is accredited by the British Psychological Society making it just as useful as any other to go on and do postgrad study in educational psychology, or any other field that interests you. I’d go for it!
