What is the difference between Anisotropic Quality, Performance and Forced?

0

The Performance and Quality options found here do the same function as in the normal ATI drivers, Performance mode uses bilinear filtering while Quality uses an optimized trilinear filtering mode that is angle dependant. The new Forced mode behaves just like the Quality mode, but it “forces” full trilinear filtering with no optimizations on any game. Some games, like Halo, can see great benefit from this setting since the game always forces bilinear filtering. This mode is also a little slower than the normal Quality setting.
