Ex Post Factos literally means “After the fact”. Putting it simply, it is a law passed after someone has commited some legal act until said law was passed, making it illegal. Although the law was passed you do not face trial because it was “After the Fact”. Now “Bill of Attainder” means that you are prosecuted without a trial.
