What is the difference between analog and digital electronics?
In the digital form the signal is digitized into number 0 and 1, by using a suitable sampling rate depending on the frequency of interest based on a criterion called Nyquist criteria and recorded on any magnetic medium. The advantage is longer storage life and also deterioration with time is not there. It can have a higher dynamic range to cover wider range of frequencies which reproduces almost the input signal quality.
