What is the difference between an online facilitator and an online instructor?

0

In relation to an ASAE & The Center facilitated self-study Web-based course, a facilitator is one who leads, guides, drives debate and assists participants to reflect upon the discussions and to enable a higher level of thinking. Facilitators encourage participants to consider ways of incorporating the course instruction into their job roles. In many instances instructors teach a principle/concept and then assess the participants understanding through the use of tests and quizzes (tests/quizzes are not included in these courses). Neither facilitators nor instructors are responsible to ensure participants complete a course.
