The main difference with an online class is you are not required to come to campus. Often there are no set meeting times required even online. There is a great deal of flexibility with an online class. The rigor and content are similar to what you would obtain on campus – even interaction with other students is possible. One drawback is that the it is easier for the student online to fall behind.
