What is the difference between an MIB vs. MBA?
An MIB degree is a business degree created with the aim to develop a more international world-view as compared to an MBA degree that focuses more on general business management courses. If you’re interested in management roles, I’d suggest pursuing an MBA as compared to an MIB which would make it easier to work overseas. I’m interested in pursuing an MBA and I’m currently reading reviews of ICFAI university. I think an MBA would give a student a well-rounded foundation and opens up doors to a variety of professions.
The 5 year joint degree program is only open to students who are interested in the MIB degree, not the MBA. The Master of International Business (MIB) degree requires a student to be proficient in a language other than their native tongue and a mandatory internship is required once classes are completed. The MIB degree is a specialized masters degree which presents strong international skills and experience coupled with a functional focus. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a general degree and does not require proficiency in another language nor an internship abroad.
