What is the difference between an IQAir GC and GCX air purifier?

Both models are nearly identical, but the main difference between comparable GC and GCX models is the amount of filter media. GCX units, overall, contain more filter media than comparble GC models. This means a few things. First, GCX models can run longer on the same set of filters, so replacement is less frequent. GCX models also have a slightly higher CFM since they have to push the air through more filter material and overall, are taller (to accomodate larger filter canisters). With this larger size comes a slightly higher price, but aside from one model being larger than the other, they are very similar machines.
