What is the difference between an IFI Mark Facility and a IFI Pilot site?
IFI Pilot Sites, as the name suggests, were the first facilities to receive the IFI accreditation between 2001-2003. The accreditation was based on the initial reasearch conducted on behalf of the Gary Jelen Sports Foundation. The IFI Mark Accreditation was developed in 2006 and is a nationally recognised standard within the fitness industry. The IFI Mark Action Plan produced as part of the IFI Mark Accreditation is much more detailed in all areas of the the accreditation process.
