An Honour Specialist is a single AQ in a given in a teachable subject area.To qualify you must have 9 full undergraduate courses in a 4 year Honour Specialist degree with at least a B average in the 9 courses.You must also have two years of teaching experience with at least one of these in Ontario in the subject area.The qualification is achieved by taking one Honour Specialist AQ course. For some candidates a double honour qualification is possible. Please see eligibilty requirements section on this website for more details. A Specialist can be achieved by taking AQ course that are a three part series-Part 1-Part 2-Part 3 (Specialist)These are offered in areas such as Special Education, ESL, HPE, Drama etc. There are no undergraduate credit requirements for these courses.
