What is the Difference Between an Equilibrium Reaction and a Dynamic Equilibrium Reaction?

0

An equilibrium is just the situation where the concentrations of the reactants and products are no longer changing. There is no REQUIREMENT that anything be occurring in the system. So, a book sitting on a table top is in a state of equilibrium. It is just sitting there. All chemical reactions actually reach a state of dynamic equilibrium. In a dynamic equilibrium, both the forward and the reverse reactions are occurring, but they are happening with equal rates, so there is no net change in the concentrations of reactants and products. Individual molecules of the reactants are forming products while simultaneously, individual product molecules are reacting to form reactants.
