While the two different sizes of a King mattresses are the same surface area on the top, the Eastern King is shorter and wider while the California King is longer and skinnier. The Sleep Shop mainly keeps the Cal King in stock because it is easier to find bedding and linens in the Cal King size, however, we can order the Eastern King size and usually have it delivered within the week. The dimensions of a Cal King are 72″W x 84″L while an Eastern King is 76″W x 80″L.
