What is the difference between an e-certificate and a paper certificate, and how do I decide which is best for my redemption reservation?
E-certificates are Marriott’s “paperless” hotel reward certificates that let you order your hotel reward in as little as 24 hours in advance of your stay. When you order an e-certificate, you’ll receive an email confirmation. You will not need to present any paper record of the reward order to the hotel. Click here for more information on e-certificates. Paper reward certificates for hotel stays are only required for “gifted” rewards or for special promotions. When making a redemption reservation with a paper certificate, please indicate that you already have a certificate for that reservation.
