What is the difference between an AWA Placement and a Self Placement?
AWA Placements: The AWA team secures positions with employers around the country. AWA employers are thoroughly screened and educated on the guidelines of the Work/Travel program. AWA placements also offer housing options. Should your AWA job be cancelled, AWA will assist by providing other options. Self Placements: If you elect to arrange your own placement, AWA will require you to send a Job Confirmation Form signed by both you and your employer when you submit your application. AWA must then approve this placement. This option is a great solution for returning students or students who have very specific job preferences.
