What is the difference between an Arborist and a Forester?
An Arborist cares for individual trees and a Forester cares for groups, or stands of trees. An Arborist should be certified through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) (link to ISA Arborist Cert). A Forester is one who has earned a B.S. in Forestry or Urban Forestry. 7. Why does consulting cost money? When we come to your property to give advice, we charge for 2 reasons. First, our advice is valuable. Very few people have the formal education and broad experience that we have. The information that you get is recent, accurate and in terms that you can understand. The second reason for charging for consulting is to guarantee an unbiased opinion. If someone does not charge for consulting, they may be persuaded to recommend a service that they can provide
