What is the difference between an Arborist and a Forester?
An Arborist cares for individual trees and a Forester cares for groups, or stands of trees. An Arborist should be certified through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) (link to ISA Arborist Cert). A Forester is one who has earned a B.S. in Forestry or Urban Forestry. 7.
