What is the difference between an Alligator Clip and a French Clip?

An Alligator Clip is the type that you just pinch to open, and a French Clip actually snaps closed. Most people prefer to use an Alligator Clip on girls with very fine hair and French Clips on older girls with more hair. My personal preference is the French Clip. When the hair is too fine to hold it in, I just put the hair in a small, thin pony tail holder and then clip the bow right under that. It really just comes down to your personal preference, though French Clips are recommended for larger bows! *Alligator Clips are partially covered in coordinating ribbon and lined with a No Slip Grip!
