What is the difference between an “advisory” and “bulletin”?
Advisories and bulletins are both types of notifications of a security vulnerability. They both can contain advice and/or manual steps to be performed to close a vulnerability. The difference is that advisories never contain patches, while on the other hand, bulletins must have one or more patches.
