A1: The “A” plunger is 17-4 stainless steel, the “B” plunger is 316 stainless steel and there is no price difference. The 17-4 is a harder material, but the 316 has better chemical resistance. The “CR” is an ultrahigh quality ceramic plunger. This smooth, hard plunger will greatly enhance seal life. The cost of a ceramic plunger is higher than those made out of 17-4 and 316 SS, however we are confident the plunger will last longer.
