What is the difference between Albums and Rolls?
Fotomat organizes your photos into Rolls and Albums. Rolls are like negatives; they are the master collection of all your original photos, stored for safekeeping. When you import photos into Fotomat, a Roll is automatically created and named according to date of import. If you want to edit, organize, share, or print your photos, we recommend that you perform those actions in Album view. Albums or like traditional photo albums. You can organize, edit, and arrange your photos into separate albums. You can do anything to photos you have in your album, knowing that you still have a back-up of the original in the Rolls folder. Albums are virtual, meaning Fotomat creates albums by “referencing” the original file. You can create many albums with the same photo without copying the photo. This minimizes the amount of disk space used by the application.
