ADFA encompasses a campus of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and is the ADF’s university campus. Navy, Army and Air Force cadets gain their tertiary qualification here. RMC Duntroon is the Army’s Officer Training establishment. On completion of ADFA, or entry through other avenues such as Graduate, Undergraduate or Direct Entry, all Army Officers will undergo their Officer training here. The Navy’s Officer Training establishment is HMAS Creswell in Jervis Bay and the Air Force’s Officer Training establishment is the Officer Training School in Point Cook, Victoria.

The Royal Military College – Duntroon is the Army Officer Training establishment. All Army Officers attend RMC – Duntroon, however the length of their training differs depending on their avenue of entry. ADFA Army Officer Cadets complete 12 months of training at RMC – Duntroon following three years training at ADFA.
