What is the difference between a walk-in appointment and a scheduled appointment?

0

Appointments allow students to meet with their academic advisor during a specified time for an individual advising session at a time convenient to you. Students with busy schedules and/or multiple questions are encouraged to schedule an appointment. Walk-in (or call-in) advising is intended for brief interactions lasting 10 minutes or so. Walk-ins are “first come, first serve” and, depending on student traffic, may involve a wait. Please note that some “quick questions” require research or discussion, and may be more appropriate for an advising appointment.
