What is the difference between a VPN and MaxWan?
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a communications network tunneled through another network, and dedicated for a specific network. One common application is secure communications through the public internet, but a VPN need not have explicit security features, such as authentication or content encryption. On the other hand, maXwan is a private network which operates within Telstras NextG network (IP WAN). Devices connecting to maXwan use telstra.corp APN instead of the public APN used by normal internet users. maXwan does not have access to the internet; providing a high level of security. maXwan setup is only point to point which means devices with this network can only communicate with each other.
