What is the difference between a virtual assistant and an office assistant?
Virtual assistants are entrepreneurs who partner with you to achieve your goals. In addition to clerical skills, many VA’s can provide a wider variety of services than the traditional assistant, by incorporating desktop publishing, website design, internet research, writing or other specialty skills. It also allows us to specialize in the areas we find most interesting. An important distinction between a VA and an office assistant is that the office assistant is an employee for whom you must pay taxes and provide benefits, plus provide office space, furniture, equipment and software. The VA is an independent contractor responsible for the payment of their own taxes, benefits, etc.
