What is the difference between a Unanomous, Split and Majority Decision?
Unanimous Decision – all three judges favor the winning fighter. Split Decision – two of the three judges favor the winnning fighter, while one had favored the losing fighter. Majority Decision – two of the three judges favor the winning fighter, while the one had the fight a draw. *Fights can be declared a draw, when all three judges score the fight evenly, which doesn’t happen to often, making it unamious. Another way, is the result of a split, when one judge favors one fighter, another judge favors the other fighter and then the third judge has a draw. And finally, you have a majority draw, when two of the three judges score a draw, regardless of who the third judge has favor for.
