What is the difference between a traditional marquee and an aluminium structure?

There are two distinct types of structure we can supply, traditional marquees and aluminium structures. Each has its own advantage. Traditional marquees are the standard marquee that has existed for many years. Aluminium structures are a relatively new innovation. Traditional marquees have pegs, ropes and central poles. Aluminium structures have their strength in an aluminium skeleton that supports a PVC skin. These have no poles in the centre as with traditional marquees. Traditional marquees demand steel pegs to put into the ground. Aluminium structures can be secured with either steel pegs, or where pegs can’t be knocked in (car parks etc.), they can be weighted down. Traditional marquees require a 5 foot area around the edge to allow for the pegs and ropes. i.e. a 50′ by 30′ marquee requires an area of 60′ by 40′. Aluminium structures require no extra area for pegs.
