What is the difference between a T-shirt that is silk-screened vs. heat-transferred?
Silk-screening is a process of printing with plasitol inks that are permanently heat cured on the T-shirt. Silk-screened T-shirts will last and hold up for a very long time. Heat transferred graphics are printed from an inkjet printer on to a transfer sheet, then ironed on with a special heat iron or heat press. This results in a quick and cheap way to get a one-time shirt, but usually does not last long with multiple washings. For a great resource for information go to http://en.wikipedia.
