What is the difference between a specifications list and a material list?
A specifications list spells out the “minimum” quality of the materials used in the proposed project that you will accept. A materials list lists all of the materials needed in a construction project and spells out the quantities needed to complete the proposed project. The building material list is always a close estimate of the materials needed as there are many factors that can impact the final quantity used.
