What is the difference between a Silver Policy and a Gold Policy?
The Gold Policy is a more comprehensive health insurance plan as compared to the Silver Plan. It includes Critical Illness cover, Recovery Benefit, and Hospital Daily Allowance that are not available in the Standard Policy. The maximum sum insured for a Silver Plan is Rs.4 lakhs, while the limit for a Gold Plan is Rs. 5 lakhs. However, the maximum age limit for taking a Gold Policy is 55 years whereas for a Silver Policy, it is 60 years. Ambulance charge limit for a Gold Policy is Rs. 1000/-, whereas for a Silver Policy, it is Rs. 750/-. In the case of a Gold Policy, expenses on an accompanying person are reimbursed at Rs. 300 per day for 5 days, while in the case of a Silver Policy, they are reimbursed at Rs. 250 per day.
