What is the difference between a role change and redefinition?
As it relates to staff positions, a role change is a significant change in duties and responsibilities that results in a non-competitive movement to a different role in a higher, lower or the same pay band. A redefinition is a change in the duties and responsibilities that does not warrant a change in the role (job) title.
