What is the difference between a resource and a referral?

0

PRO offers a forum for members to share “haves & wants”. Members have the weekly opportunity to share their personal & business needs and resources with like-minded professionals. Resources are not a warm referral of new business, but rather an unsolicited resource that may benefit the membership as a whole, or a solicited need mentioned in the “wants” portion of the meeting. By surrounding yourself with exceptional professionals on a weekly basis, you are increasing your sphere of influence by developing strategic relationships that will inevitably increase your business through word of mouth marketing and referrals. Referrals are a warm referral of new business. Generally, a referral will be expecting a call from the person you are referring to, and follow up is necessary.
