What is the difference between a replicated CD and a duplicated CD-R?
CD replication and CD-R duplication provide a very similar end result – an exact copy of your master disc. The primary difference is the way in which it is produced. During the duplication process, data from your master disc is recorded (burned) onto a prefabricated recordable disc (CD-R). Replication involves the actual creation of a disc from raw materials using an injection molding process–the data is stamped (pressed) into the disc as it is created.
