What is the difference between a Reiki Master and a Reiki Practitioner?

There is typically only one difference. A Reiki Master or a Reiki Master/Teacher is someone who can teach about and attune others to reiki. That said, a Reiki Master may have additional reiki symbols that a practitioner doesnt. However, this should not limit an individual to only seeking out sessions with masters; there are a multitude of reiki practitioners who have opted not to go on to mastership because they have no desire to teach. These practitioners, though not masters in the traditional sense, are often masters at channeling reiki and allowing the body to do what it needs to in order to heal. Unfortunately, you can at times find “Reiki Masters” out there who are quite ineffective in channeling reiki, yet find Reiki I & II Practitioners who are quite dynamic and powerful in what they do. It is more important to be comfortable with your reiki practitioner, than the practitioner’s “level”.
