What is the difference between a Registrant, Administrative Contact, Member and Membership Representative?
The Registrant is the holder of the dot-ca domain name registration. The Registrant can be either an individual or an organization. The CIRA WHOIS allows you to find the name of the Registrant for a particular dot-ca domain name. An Administrative Contact is either the Registrant or someone the Registrant authorizes to act on their behalf to administer their domain name registration. The Administrative Contact receives the Registrant account number and password and therefore has complete control over the domain name registration. The Administrative Contact is responsible for authorizing and confirming any changes to a dot-ca domain name registration. A Membership Representative is a person who represents the interests of a Registrant that is not an individual (e.g. a corporation or organization.)
