What is the difference between a Purchase Requisition and a Purchase Order?
A Purchase Requisition is generated by individual departments at Emerson College and has a document ID number beginning with “R.” A Purchase Order is generated by the Office of Purchasing and Risk Management and has a document ID number beginning with “P.” Purchase Orders are the final authorized contractual obligation between the College and the vendor.
