Direction of airflow is determined by looking at the fan through the radiator. A puller fan is positioned on the back, or engine side, of the radiator so that it pulls the air through the radiator core. A pusher is positioned on the front, or bumper side, of the radiator so that it pushes the air through the radiator core.
