What is the difference between a Print Friendly Logo and a Web Friendly Logo?
Print Logos require a much higher resolution (300+ DPI/Dots Per Inch) and need to be saved in certain standard print file formats. Some of the most common and universal print formats for print jobs are: High Resolution TIFF; Photoshop and Illustrator EPS files; Corel Draw; and Adobe Acrobat PDF. Since print logos can become very large in size, they are best sent on a form of removable media, such as a zip drive, or a CD-ROM. Web Logos require a much smaller resolution since they only need to be displayed on a screen (72 DPI). Theycan be sent directly through e-mail or be made available for immediate download. Since web logos are so low in resolution, they are not a good choice for printing, as the quality will appear blurred or jagged on paper once printed.
