What is the difference between a pre-proposal and an optional letter of interest?
A letter of interest is much shorter. In approximately two-pages, note the priority you are addressing, explain the goals & objectives of your project, the approximate cost, and the staff/contractors with whom you are considering working. Unlike a pre-proposal, we do not need your methodology, expected results, or CVs. Keep it short. The Management Committee will review the letters and provide feedback to you with suggestions on how you can improve your project in order to fit the management committee’s needs. It is not mandatory that you submit a letter of interest. If you are interested, letters are due January 31, 2002. Email them to: hcri_rp@hawaii.edu or fax them to 956-2884.
