What is the difference between a POP Email Account and an Email Forward Account?
Email forward accounts are “imaginary” accounts that actually redirect to a POP account. For instance, if you had an AOL email account of XYZwoman@aol.com that would be a POP account because you are able receive and reply to email from that account. If you registered the domain name of xyzwoman.com and wished to setup and email forward to your AOL account. You could do so by setting up the email forward of “info@xyzwoman.com”. Once setup, any emails addressed to “info@xyzwoman.com” account would be sent to your XYZwoman@aol.com. So, should you reply to email messages sent to info@xyzwoman.com; it would reveal that you are actually receiving the message at your XYZwoman@aol.com account. However, if you had setup info@xyzwoman.com as a POP account; you would be able to receive emails and reply to emails from that “info” account just as you do with any AOL, Earthlink, Optonline, Yahoo, etc. email account. Red Ibis hosting offers email hosting packages that start at USD$16 per month.
