What is the difference between a pledge and a member?
Anyone who started AED before Fall 2008 has ‘member’ status as far as volunteering and attendance are concerned. The 3 semester rule still applies for National induction. For pledges who begin their AED involvement in or after Fall 2008, you have a Rush Semester (your first) and then a second semester in which you still have the requirements of a pledge (6/6 + 2 absences). Basically, we try to only induct one pledge class per year.
