You can only receive an EI Access Code after having applied for EI benefits. A Personal Access Code is a seven character code issued for the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security by Service Canada.

A Personal Access Code is a seven character code issued by Service Canada. It is used to validate your identity and enables you to login My Service Canada Account. Please Note: In order to access My Service Canada Account you will need to create a Government of Canada epass username and password and first time users are required to validate their identity using a Personal Access Code or an EI Access Code.
