What is the difference between a part-time and a full-time student?
A full-time student, by Keyano College standards, is a student that is enrolled in 60% of a full course load in their specific program. Anything less than 60% of full course load is considered part-time. Please note that different programs have difference credit requirements. For example, University Studies (full course load of 15 credits per semester) requires enrolment in 9 credits for full-time status whereas the Early Childhood Diploma – Year 1 (full course load of 22 credits per semester) requires enrolment in 14 credits for full-time status. Please contact an academic advisor for more information on your program. Note that some organizations (scholarships, student loans, funding agencies, etc.) require more than 60% of a full course load.
