What is the difference between a mouse and a trackball?

They differ in what part is being moved. With a mouse you move the entire thing, and with a trackball you only rotate the ball.

abstractly stated trackball is a movement of ball either up or down(vertically) actually if i’ m not mistaken trackballs are used with older computer systems(if you are using PC) and with laptops.in other words “with trackball you can only scroll the page up and down, unlike with mouses”
