What is the difference between a Leica V-Lux 1 and the Panasonic DMC-FZ50?
You can go to dpreview and compare the two. I did and the only difference listed is this: Based on a Panasonic but with Leica image processing parameters. I would have to do a side by side image test to see what the difference really is. This said, I have been using one of the professional DSLR’s for over 4 years and now have three. In my humble opinion having a vast array of professional lenses to choose from (new and used) makes Canon and Nikon a better choice. I have never used the flip-out screen (I have friends who have them on their pro-am cameras so I have seen them in use) and so have never missed using them. I would be afraid I could damage it under heavy use, especially while shooting sports.
