What is the difference between a honey bee, and a bumble bee?

0

The bumble bee is from the ‘bombus’ genus and the honey bee is from the ‘apis’ genus. Both are from the Hymenoptera order which includes wasps and ants. Both live in hives (nest for a bumble bee), both have queens and both have workers. Both also make honey, but the amount of honey that bumble bees make is negligible, so that’s the main difference. Honey bees make commercially viable amounts of honey and as such are ‘farmed’ for that reason. Check the included links for more info.
