What is the difference between a gravity fed/open system and a close system?
Open System • The rectal nozzle or tube is the size of #2 pencil in diameter. • The clients do their own insertion in private. • Any size fecal matter can be eliminated. • The client can urinate during the session. • There is no risk for the rectal nozzle to blowout because the client pushes out the water and feces in an open basin and not into a tube. • The client is covered at all times and his/her privacy and modesty is honored. • The therapist does not stay in the room the entire session. • A built in Odor Exhaust System insures the area remains odor free. Close System • The rectal nozzle or tube is 1 inch in diameter. • The therapist has to turn off the water flow and open the out flow valve so that fecal matter can come back through the tube. • The therapist must stay in the room for the duration of the treatment. • At times the session may be interrupted so the client can use the toilet to pass out fecal matter that is too big to go through the 1″ diameter tube and/or to urinate
