What is the difference between a grand jury and a regular jury?
A grand jury consists of 16 to 23 citizens of the community whose only responsibility is to ensure that the defendant is treated properly and that probable cause exists to continue the prosecution. A regular jury, on the other hand, is responsible for determining the guilt or innocence of a person accused of a crime.
