What is the difference between a Fire Safety Analysis and an Incident Prevention Review?
The previously adopted 2004 edition of NFPA 58 referred to the safety analysis procedure an “Incident Prevention Review”. The 2008 edition of NFPA 58 has returned to the terminology that appeared in the 2001 edition of NFPA 58 which is “Fire Safety Analysis” (FSA); the essential elements of the process, however, have not changed.
