What is the difference between a filter with appendix “A” and without (i.e., FF167A and FF167) and which one should I use?
Fuel filters with appendix “A” have rolled filter media and are identical to original Bosch filters. To increase filtration performance, Cummins Filtration offers the option of filters with pleated media (part numbers without appendix “A”). Cummins Filtration recommends using filters without appendix “A” because the dust capacity is much higher, so the life of the filter element is longer (for a filter with identical dimensions).
