Dry cleaning facilities are considered to be stores or plants with dry cleaning machines on the property. Drop-off stores do not have machines in the store so they do not need to be registered with the Kansas Drycleaning Program. Drop-off stores should still collect the environmental surcharge of 2.5% and submit the fees to the Kansas Department of Revenue.
